Do you know what is fantastic about the summer? Summer sales. Yes. THAT is what makes the summer special.
As you all know, I work adjacent to a mall. So everyday I walked past these colorful windows and see the frozen displays and continue walking. Well....there also happen to be gleeful red signs and stickers in the displays proclaiming "reductions!" or "50% off!" I know you can understand how these signs and displays call to me. Well, today I ventured into the shopping world and had a grand time. I purchased a dark grey flapper dress (fully covered in fringe!) for only 15 euro--- in American we call that 20 dollars. I know what I am going to be for Halloween. This is by far the best clothes meets costume I've bought since by red/gold jacket with lace shirt and collar before Senior year. (I just realized this is once again before senior year. AH! I'm a senior. WHEN did THAT happen?). I also bought bright red lipstick---a necessity with the current hair do. In line to purchase my lipstick I spied Dr. Peppers in the check out mineral selection (notice it's mineral-- not coke, not soda, but mineral. I shall also beginning noting that it is half past (11:30). actually when they tell time in thirty minute increments it is much more confusing and I sometimes have issues when trying to book someone's tickets). I grabbed one from the back of the machine hoping it would be cooler, but it gets better. When I went to check out the lady asked me if I wanted another one because it was buy one get one free. Yes. Yes I did want another one.
It is currently chilling in the fridge.
When I got back to the shoebox I dined on peanut butter and crackers and rushed over to chat with Dominique. She was sorting some things out with her mom about the hotel. Then we went over to Eliza's room where she and her roommates were making crepes. One of them is from France. The other one attends USC. Crepes and nutella are delicious (of course, anything with nutella is delicious).
I left them to try on all of my clothes and decide what to ball up and stuff into my backpack. I think it should all fit snugly. We'll see once tomorrow rolls around. Okay, I'm off. I may give another update tomorrow before I leave, but you will probably only hear from me after Paris. I will try to take notes so I can share wonderful and exciting details of my first plunge out of Ireland.
Hasta luego! (I know that's not French).
