This whole travel thing can be rather tiring. Now I am getting to the point that work is less exciting (still good--- but it's not a thrill to sit and try to remember each hole in the wall) and my surroundings feel familiar. The building The Mill is made of is really quite nice. It's very classy and modern hip-ish. Yeah. That's a description for you. A new artist's work was put up a few weeks ago and they are really colorful and add an extra element of cheerfulness to the space. If you get close to the art though I am thourougly convinced it's something I could do. Of course I haven't, so someone else can get the credit and money.
I'm trying not to get in a rut here in Dublin, but I just walk the exact same path everyday to work so that can be difficult. I've been buying my lunch this week--- still haven't managed to buy a few groceries-- and I eat at the same place everyday because I have a 20% off coupon and can get a tasty sandwich and chips for a little over €4. Good thing water is good for us and free.
I've been reading a lot on the bus and LUAS so I don't even look out the window much. Still, there is this one church and graveyard that are really pretty that I can see from the LUAS and I need to explore someday.
Yesterday after work I walked to Temple Bar and met Kathi and Doug Williams briefly. They are on a bus tour through Ireland and have been kept very busy. They had dinner at the Brazen Head so we just chatted for a few minutes in their hotel lobby. It was nice to see a friendly face and hear a familiar accent. There was a couple traveling with them that had not had their luggage for 12 days! That would be awful.
I am really looking forward to PARIS!
