among great minds

today has been very long but has concluded encouragingly. well, it's only 8:30 so perhaps conclusion is the wrong word. we had orientation at the dublin city univsersity?? i don't remember the name, but now I have seen three of dublin's univeristies (which is all of them, i think) because i walked with two other girls and we went to trinity college. dominique is from LSU and eliza (pronounced like aliza) is from kansas. we ate a restaurant and i had quacemole and a chicken burrito--- not quite tex mex, but satisfactory. trinity college was nice, it's kind of walled in and has an arched entrance in the wall. we didn't see anything like the book of kells-- we are going to wait until we get our student travel cards so we can get discounts. i'm very excited because trinity college is having a shakespeare festival right now--- i think it would be lovely to see a performance there. i may just catch scenes from a few shows or watch midsummer, which i think is outside on the grounds--- site specific perhaps?

later i may walk down to the park near by, which makes it nice that it stays lit outside for so long. today, i also bought some pink towels.
