today i got a sunburn. i went to howth (houooth) with daddy, jess, and em it was beautiful. it's a little fishing village that is just on the outskirts of dublin. you can get there using public transportation so it's not that far out. it was absolutely beautiful and i had the most AMAZING fish and chips--- freshest catch of the day. i think emily and i took pictures of the same rocks over and over--- they're beautiful from every angle!! that really took up most of the day, just walking around and visiting with seals and one friendly spotted dog that reminded me of lexus. if she had been there she would have spent her time barking at seals, too.
afterward we all went back into the city. em and jess went in search of h&m while daddy and i went to the potato famine monument. it's been very nice to meet up with them every now and then--- i know i will miss them. good thing ann and ryan are coming soon! i can't wait to see them and stun them with my basic knowledge of the city and bus system--- which is mega confusing.
tonight there was a reception for eusa students at the Brazen Head, Dublin's oldest pub. It was really cool. We were all served dinner in a small upstairs room. My favorite course was my potato soup--- then i had the vegetables, which was mostly onions. I should have gotten the stew, it was basic meat and potatoes. Luckily Dannika, from Colorado, let me have some of hers. The food was all really simple and traditional. There was a story teller (and tour guide) there to tell us about Irish history and mysticism. Now we know to blame the faeries for everything.
Until tomorrow--- goodnight!!
