not too much

today i have been resting. i slept late and now i just woke up from a nap. i may be able to go to sleep tonight because i've been doing so much and sleeping so little.

on thursday Laura, Dominique and I went to get our student travel cards in town. It was pretty easy and then we were able to get a discount on our bus passes--- I needed the bus&luas pass. Then we wondered around trinity some more, there was a cricket match going on so we sat and watched for a little bit, but none of us actually knew the rules. there are a lot more Public Displays of Affection (PDA) and a couple on the bench closest to us were making out--- it was weird. maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal for some of these people to be on a reality show like the bachelor because they can kiss anywhere. after our cricket break we went to bewleys for lunch. bewleys is the coffee that everyone wants in ireland. i had pasta---chicken and really great fresh cheese. it was delicious. then I went home-- i was going to test run my work route, but I went to the shopping center near by instead. i bought a blanket for my bed. after that i had tea with dom and her roommate and then another friend as well. Connor, the roommate has already been here for a week and so has already started work. that evening we went to the comet, the local pub, because that's where you can meet locals. the pub is just a social place and not everyone goes there to drink.

yesterday i went to my interview and shopped. the theatre is in a really nice part of town and the shopping center is very much like an american mall. it was cold and wet on my way there so i stopped for a latte at starbucks inside. then i shopped around a bit--- i was there really early. they had an h&m, urban outfitters, and other high-end stores. i went to my interview at two, but mr. falloon was not expecting me and already had other apointments. liz, who is in charge of marketing, gave me a tour of the theatre which is very small and then i went and actually bought a few clothes at h&m and came back to speak with him at 2. he was very nice and gave me a project to work on, but i get to help out with everything. that's how they work, which is great. i'll get to do more that way and i'm used to theatre that work that way. i'm happy not to be restricted to one area. there are only 6 of them ( ithink) that run the theatre and then a few volunteers.

today i've been so tired, but it's nice just to sit. i haven't had a coke in a day or two so i need to go get a coke and something simple for dinner--- otherwise i'll just be eating bread and butter or peanut butter.

ireland is so clean and they are exceptionally ecofriendly. you have to pay to use a plastic bag--- so i've bought some reusable ones. all of the switches can be turned off. the public transportation is so clean--- it took me a while to realize how nice it was. all of the food is organic and expensive, but tasty. off to get something to eat!
