The first one is the oldest pub in Ireland where we had our welcome reception and a very tasty dinner. Then there is Daddy with the famine monument. There are monuments ALL over the city, it's cool. I haven't found Oscar Wilde yet, I guess I'll have to look it up. The next two are in Howth---so pretty! And then there is a glimpse of my shoebox room. It's a good thing I don't have much stuff here because it's already a mess.
monuments--hmm. have you been to the general post office-hq for the easter rising of 1916 or to the garden of remembrance?

i've been by the post office, but haven't stopped to look at the bullet holes in the pillars and i have not gone to the garden of remembrance yet. there is this really cool looking cemetary that i can see during my commute that i want to go to some day, too. bloomsday is this tuesday, too bad i've never actually read much joyce--- but i can celebrate anyway!
